DELAMERE MANOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Helen & Mark
I had the best time with this awesome couple. As soon as I arrived at Delamere Manor to photograph their wedding, they were so warm and friendly, and everyone was excited for the day ahead.
Delamere Manor has become a sought-after wedding venue, renowned for its romantic ambiance and impeccable service. Couples from around the world choose this enchanting estate as the backdrop for their special day. With its stunning gardens, breathtaking views, and exquisite interiors, Delamere Manor provides an idyllic setting for couples to exchange their vows… Or it could just be because legendary ‘Take that’ star Gary Barlow used to live here!
Outdoor ceremonies at Delamere Manor
As the weather was warm and dry, Helen and Mark got their wish of getting married outside. I’ve photographed outdoor ceremonies all over the country and Europe, and the views here are up there with the best. You have the stunning house as the backdrop for when Helen made the walk to meet Mark, and from the other side a vast rolling garden going down towards a lake.
Speeches in the Glasshouse
The glasshouse is a modern addition to the estate. It is a striking glass-walled space that provides uninterrupted views of the surrounding gardens. It is perfect for hosting receptions and the first dance, allowing guests to dine while immersed in the picturesque surroundings. It has a real ‘outside inside’ feel to it and the light is just amazing in there (important for us photographers!)
Couple time in the grounds of Delamere
Take. Your. Pick! The grounds here are vast and stunning. Before the meal we took a short stroll down the path at the front of the venue to give Helen and Mark a few moments together, but my favourite spot was after the meal when we got a golf buggy down the beautiful gardens towards an outhouse by the beautiful lake for 20 minutes. There is so much space to wander around and be yourself.
Party time in the club!
Oh yeah, if it wasn’t awesome enough already, Delamere has it’s own nightclub inside the house. While the glass house is the perfect spot to photograph the first dance where all your guests can stand around and see, when the drinks start flowing - the place to be is inside the club. It’s dark, low ceiling is the perfect place to let your hair down.
Lawson films
To make today even better, I was working with Pete and Laura Lawson. Originally photographers, they have gone on to be some of the best wedding film makers in the country and beyond. They are SO much fun to be around and with their vast experience bring a calm reassurance to couples.
WANT TO KNOW A BIT MORE ABOUT THE VENUE? OKAY THEN…
Nestled amidst the serene countryside of Cheshire, England, Delamere Manor stands as a testament to luxury, elegance, and a rich history. This remarkable estate has captured the hearts of many, from its origins as a grand residence to its modern-day role as an exquisite venue for weddings and events.
A Storied History
Delamere Manor's history dates back to the 19th century when it was built as a grand family residence. The manor's architectural beauty and sprawling grounds were carefully designed to reflect the opulence of its time. Its charming blend of Georgian and Victorian architecture exudes timeless elegance and offers a glimpse into the past.
Throughout the years, Delamere Manor has changed hands several times, each owner adding their unique touch to this magnificent estate. However, it was its acquisition by Gary Barlow that brought Delamere Manor into the limelight once again.
Gary Barlow and Delamere Manor
In 2005, Gary Barlow purchased Delamere Manor and embarked on a journey to transform it into a luxurious and exclusive venue. His vision was to create a space that seamlessly combines historic charm with modern amenities, making it the perfect setting for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations.
Accomodation
The manor offers opulent accommodations for guests, including beautifully designed suites that exude warmth and comfort. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, ensuring a luxurious stay.
