Falcon Manor wedding. Liz and David
From both of us, the world’s biggest thank-you for capturing our day (and Falcon Manor) so perfectly, looking through the photo’s is like re-living our day all over again. You have captured so many special memories which we will treasure forever. Thank you so so much!!!
Falcon Manor summer wedding. Liz and David
These two right here - I don’t even know how to describe how lovely they are, seriously. It was an absolute pleasure to be their Falcon Manor wedding photographer, and on a beautiful day at the end of August - just as 2018’s heat wave was starting to cool down. The day was so relaxed which is what you would expect from these two super chilled people, it was just one of those perfect days where everything comes together with guests enjoying canapes and cocktails in the luxurious grounds and gardens sat in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside over looking the Yorkshire Dales.
Bridal preparations with Flossy & Leigh hair and make up
As I knocked on the door of the Falcon Suite I was greeted by the fabulous Phoebe from Flossy and Leigh. Phoebe is ace. So talented, and absolutely hilarious, larger than life and exactly the kind of person you want to be around on the morning of your wedding. She makes brides feel great and relaxed, and from a wedding photographers point of view she is just fab to work with. I’ve done loads of weddings with Flossy and Leigh, but I have to be honest, I don’t often get the privilege of working with Phoebe!
Beautiful flowers by Sam Williams
I mean, did Liz and David book the ‘A’ team or what?! It’s always a huge pleasure working with Sam, she’s so cool and always greets you with a big hug. Most importantly she’s an absolute genius when it comes to flowers. Liz and her bridesmaids bouquets most certainly had the wow factor and the displays in the light filled ceremony room were absolutely stunning.
Natural relaxed photography at Falcon Manor
Photographing ceremonies at Falcon Manor is a dream. The room is filled with light even on days that might not be as sunny (not the case today!) and the decor has been so tastefully restored to its original features. After the ceremony, the doors lead out onto the patio for confetti looking out over the immaculate gardens. Like most couples, one of the first things Liz and David said to me when we first met was that they didn’t particularly like having their photo’s taken, but on the wedding day I treat it as more of an opportunity to you 10 minutes on your own together - it’s surprising what little time you get! The gardens here are perfect for this, quiet and private enough to not feel like you’re being watched, but close enough to not feel like you’re missing out on the action.
The speeches and evening entertainment
After some brilliant and touching moments during the speeches we were treated to some beautiful ‘golden hour’ light, so we nipped out for a few more photo’s while the room was turned around and prepared for the night time party. The fantastic Simon Dorey wedding singer was providing the entertainment this evening and had the room singing along with him.
A huge thanks to Liz and David for choosing me to be their Falcon Manor wedding photographer, and also a big thanks to the staff for looking after me as always.
