2016…It’s been a strange year right? Globally, probably not the best one, and for some celebrity legends, its been an awful one...But personally, it's been amazing. It's probably been the best yet for weddings, and it's been an absolute joy seeing our little baby turn into a beautiful little boy. But if you’re reading this, chances are you’re newly engaged (Congratulations!) and looking at photographers, or you’ve already booked me and are checking in (congratulations again!!) or you’re my Mum ☺.

This year has been my first full year back living in the Ribble Valley after over 5 years of living in the south and while I loved being down there, we’re so glad to be back. And it’s been a year of MANY firsts! It’s been amazing meeting local suppliers (old and new) - which has led to me making bouquets of flowers and running my first charity 10k. The great part is becoming friends with these suppliers and working together at weddings, which as a solo photographer, makes you really feel part of a team. I’ve also been asked to take part in more wedding fairs and show my work at some of my favourite venues. I photographed my first destination wedding in Croatia, which as you can imagine was an incredible experience (involving a lot of Rakija). 

I’ve had the pleasure of working with some other great photographers, which has been inspirational as well as taking part in workshops with The Crawleys and Lawson’s and SEO with David Stubbs – you never stop learning! 

So, after such a brilliant year I decided to enter the The Wedding Industry Awards, the best of the best. I didn’t quite make the finals (well I did but for their 'Best website' category) but I was so overjoyed and humbled by the feedback I received from all my wedding couples who took the time to vote for me - and that beats any award, as wedding photography is all about them and their day. So to all the fantastic couples I’ve worked with….THANK YOU!!

Just like every year – the biggest thanks is to my wife Vic who works behind the scenes - this year re-designing my website and brochures and even assisting me in a wedding or two. 

So, what’s for 2017? Well apart from a new baby girl on the way, who knows. Just more amazing weddings - and I can't wait!! But enough waffle - please enjoy having a look at what I've been up to this year,
